The Jury will choose one photograph as the absolute winner from among all those submitted to the contest.

Photographs showing ringed/marked wild birds.

The scientific bird ringing is already a method applied to conservation, but this category aims to illustrate this purpose as best as possible. Thus, photographs of threatened species, marked within the scope of conservation projects, will be valued.

For this category, aesthetics are especially sought, and the originality of the proposals is also highly valued.

Set of 3 photographs that illustrate a research/conservation project based on bird ringing or where bird ringing is a key methodology within the project. In this case, ringing scenes with the staff, etc., may be also incorporated in order to show the project as a whole in images (birds, people, results...).

Young people under 18 years old at the time of sending the photographs. The best photograph submitted by a young person in any category will be awarded. If a person under 18 years of age received an award in the general category, the second image classified by a person under 18 years of age would be chosen for this recognition.
